Ships of opportunity are a frequently used platform in surface ocean carbon observations and estimating the annual sink. For understanding drivers behind changes system, oxygen measurements alongside dioxide can be valuable tool. We developed an in-air calibration system for optodes underway systems. The regular atmospheric enable us to correct sensor drift biofouling. This new help obtain reliable data from applications, especially if vessel is not easily accessible frequent recalibration optode feasible.
